A Glamorgan Family History
The Howell family of Nantmoel Uchaf farm on the Baran Mountain
Records show that members of the Howell family have lived in the Rhyndwyclydach Parcel of Llangyfelach parish, Glamorgan since at least the mid 17th century.
In 1805 the family helped to establish Baran Independent Chapel on land leased from Nantmoel Uchaf farm.  The Reverend Roger Howell became the founding minister of the chapel and served its members for 38 years.
This website is dedicated to the Reverend Roger Howell, who was my 4x great grandfather, and tells the history of his ancestors and descendants from 1684 - 1900
