The topic of Family History is vast and we have reviewed each site that we link to with the aim of placing the links in meaningful categories. However, the huge range of topics and subjects means that the limited number of categories cannot really do justice to the subject. So, behind the scenes there are also places matched up with each web site. This search form will allow you to fine tune the listings with the aim of helping you find web sites that match your current areas of interest.
Please note that our work in associating place names to each website is not yet fully complete.

Refining your search

The list of places below grows regularly, so scrolling through it to find, for example, all the entries for place may take a while. You can refine the list by entering a place name or county name into the box below and then clicking on the Refine the Places button. For example, refining the list for West will show entries for the county of Westmorland and place names containing West such as Westminster.

The refined list will be displayed below where you can make your final choice before searching.

1. The Places list will show all the places that we have associated with each of the web sites. Choose one or more, up to a maximum of 25.
2. Click on the Search button to show a list of web sites that have information and/or data about your chosen topics.
